About the milion and half Senufo people live scattred across the Ivory Coast, Mali and Burkina Faso and they live principally from agriculture and occasionally hunting.
The artists from this tribes cavered masks and statues realistic features.

Face masks known as Kpeliyee - characteristics of Senufo art: a heart-shaped face, a T-shaped nose and globular eyes. This masks are used during Poro initiation ceremonies.

Senufo figures and statues vary a great deal. The most famous of this figures are Pombibele - used during the funeral ceremonies of Poro society.
Smaller statues representing divination figures or nature spirits.
